Sunderland Linked With Chamakh
Saturday 04 Jul 2009Sunderland could beat Arsenal to the signing of Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh, according to reports.
The 25-year-old is apparently being considered by Arsene Wenger as a replacement for Emmanuel Adebayor, should the Togo international leave this summer.

However, Adebayor's future is still uncertain and the delays have let Steve Bruce's Sunderland in.
Chamakh is hot property this summer and is also being monitored by Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa.
He joined Bordeaux's youth side in 2000 and moved up to the seniors two years later.
