Blackburn Rovers chairman John Williams has admitted the announcement that Manchester City will be taken over by the Abu Dhabi United Group will make it harder for Rovers to compete in the Premier League.
American-based millionaire Dan Williams and JJB's chief executive Chris Ronnie have been linked with a possible takeover of the club recently, but Rovers will not be rushed in to a sale.

"It's made it harder to compete," said Williams.
"It's very difficult, but our owners are looking and continuing to use their advisors to find potential purchasers of the club or shares.
"Until that happens, we cut our cloth accordingly and do the best we can.
"But if one of our competitors gets unforecasted money, in the case of Manchester City - and good luck to them - then it's difficult.
"There's quite a lot of work going on and professional people are out their searching for the right deal for Blackburn Rovers.
"Everyone here always wants to wish that the club is eventually passed to someone who will carry on the very proud heritage that we've had since 1875."
